Mystic Pie Dance!

A 4th Saturday Contra Dance in SE Connecticut all year around!

• Time: 7:00-10:00 pm (newcomers’ session @ 6:45-7:00)
• Where: Thrive Active Center, 102 Newtown Rd, Groton, CT 06340.
• What: Contra dancing with live music originated in New England and has roots in England, Scotland & France!
• Why: To have a wildly fun time, meet new friends in a friendly environment, move to live music and eat delicious homemade pie slices!
• Live Music by: Confluence!
• Caller: Steve Holland!
• Admission: $10 per person, $7 students per person, $25 families. PIE $3 per pie slice if you want pie. Pie proceeds go directly to the band and caller.
• Clothing & Footwear: Dress as comfortable as you like-casual, layers are best for this invigorating exercise. Bring non street shoes that move easily on the floor. (no high-heels please).
• Free Parking!
• Roles: We use “ladies & gents” but they do not dictate gender. Anyone is welcome to dance whatever role they are comfortable with, which happens at our dance! LBGT+ friendly!
