The Duellists

We’re delighted to announce an exclusive gig showcasing one of the definitive folk music albums of all time from The Duellists.
Nigel Eaton, Chris Walshaw, and Steve Tyler will be coming together to recreate the 1997 classic English Hurdy Gurdy Music in full, alongside some other classic tunes you know and love.
What to expect:
There’s nothing like a bit of hurdy-gurdy music to get you up and dancing, and this performance from some of the most talented musicians of all time is sure to make you want to take a spin around your living room!
If you’re a fan of Blowzabella, love English folk music inspired by the French tradition, or are just intrigued by hurdy-gurdy music, this is a must-watch performance.
About the artist
The Duellists, consisting of Nigel Eaton (hurdy-gurdy), Chris Walshaw (pipes, whistles, saxophone), and Cliff Stapleton (hurdy-gurdy), are best known for their seminal album English Hurdy Gurdy Music, which was released nearly 30 years ago.
Cliff unfortunately cannot make it, but Nigel and Chris have got together with Steve Tyler to recreate the authentic The Duellists sound for this one-off performance for Live to your Living Room.
Enormously subtle and satisfying music – Folk Roots
All of our events are available to watch back for 72 hours. A link will be sent automatically to all ticket holders after the event has taken place and the recording has been uploaded.
About the gig
This event will be held live on Zoom, with a remote sound engineer for high-quality sound. Our gigs allow interaction between artists and audiences, so the artist can hear you applaud and you can even have the chance to ask them any burning questions.
Tickets are £18, with the option to pay a bit less (£12) or a bit more (£30) depending on what is affordable for you. You only need one ticket per household.
