The University of New Hampshire Library in Durham, NH, maintains CDSS’s archives and collections. Physical materials are available for researchers by appointment.

  • New! CDSS Ephemera is a digital collection of historic posters, maps, broadsides, and other print memorabilia from the CDSS Organization Archives. It can be accessed online by anyone and will eventually include around 8,000 items.

  • New! CDSS Photographs is a digital collection of historic photos c. 1920s-1960s (many undated) from the CDSS Organization Archives. It can be accessed online by anyone and is still growing.
  • The CDSS Library houses over 3,000 books; 400 periodicals, pamphlets, sheet music; and nearly 2,000 recordings promoting English and American folk dance and song, both from CDSS and other sources. You can find and search the collection online.

  • The CDSS Organization Archives, held in the Milne Special Collections & Archives at UNH, contain 64 boxes of manuscripts, personal papers, recordings, and materials dating to CDSS’s founding in 1915. This guide describes the collection and its contents.
